The Mutya Philippine Dance Company is the premier dance troupe in the Delaware Valley. It was formed in April 1990 in Philadelphia.
Mutya is a performing group and youth program that provides in-depth education to Filipino-American youth about their heritage and encourages appreciation by the American public for the Philippines’ rich and complex culture and history.
Mutya’s mission is to preserve, develop, teach, and share Filipino Cultural Heritage, Arts, Folklores, and other indigenous cultural traditions through its Dances, Music, and Songs with the purpose of instilling Filipino pride amongst its youth.
